Baby found floating in Bauchi well

A newborn girl was, on Saturday, found floating in a well at Gwallameji, the students’ village of the
Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, the Bauchi State capital.  This is the second incidence in less than one week.  A dog was found by passers-by feasting on a new born baby abandoned at a refuse dump last Sunday in the same area.  The baby girl found inside the well on Saturday afternoon was believed to have been dumped a day before she was discovered.
