Deso Dogg, who went by the name Abu Talha al-Almani, had toured with DMX.
An ISIS loyalist and former rapper was killed in Syria on Oct. 16 by a U.S. airstrike, according to reports.
German-born Denis Cuspert, who
once went by Deso Dogg and later changed his name
to Abu Talha al-Almani, left the rap game in 2012 to join the extremist
organization known as the Islamic State, ISIS or ISIL. He had
previously toured with rapper DMX, cites the New York Times.
Quoting a
Pentagon spokesperson, Cuspert is characterized as "a foreign terrorist
fighter and operative for ISIL who used social media to take advantage
of disaffected youth and potential Western recruits," adding that he had
threatened president Obama and German citizens.
The AFP reports that
in November 2014, images surfaced that showed Cuspert holding a
severed head and claiming the executed man was killed for opposing
ISIS.
