Residents of Ubima community in Ikwerre Local government area of Rivers State are living in fear following a clash between two dreaded cult groups in the area that led to the beheading of one of the cult leaders.
The suspected leader of Degban cult group popularly known as Morroco was beheaded yesterday by a rival cult group during a supremacy battle that saw the two rival groups exchanging gunfire for more than four hours
Ubima community is the home town of Minister of Transport, Mr. Chibiuke Rotimi Amaechi and Sir Celestine Omehia, the former governor of Rivers State.
Morroco is the first victim after suspected members of Iceland cult group promised to avenge the death of their members with 50 heads.
Over twelve cult members from the two groups have been murdered; some of them have their corpses buried while others are missing
The incident has forced residents to flee the community.
