Sayyad Wazir, Pakistani Regional Police Officer, said more than 12
people were killed and 32 others injured in a blast at a government
office in Pakistan’s northwest Mardan district on Tuesday.
He said a suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden motorbike at the main gate of the National Database Registration Authority (Nadra). Wazir said that the attack happened in Dosehra Chowk area of Mardan in the country’s northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Doctor Haris, District Emergency official, confirmed that 12 bodies were deposited at the two major hospitals of the city, as 32 injured people received medical attention and 10 of them were in critical condition.
He said that the causality number was feared to rise as more injured people were being brought to the hospital. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet but police have cordoned off the area for investigations.
