LEADERS of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Warri South Local
Government Area, Delta State, said yesterday, that recent defectors to
the party from rival political parties, who were registered with slips
(temporary cards of APC) are on probation and as such not yet confirmed
members of the APC.
Chairman of APC in Warri South council, Prince Valentine Egbe, the APC House of Assembly candidate for Warri South constituency I in the April 11, 2015 House of Assembly/governorship polls, Mr. Robinson Ariyo, former Delta South senatorial candidate of the defunct Alliance for Democracy, AD and founding leader of APC in Delta South, Tunde Okorodudu as well as
Ward leaders of the party in Warri South council, made the declaration in Warri while addressing newsmen.
Prince Egbe, in a statement, said: “Our addressing the media is based on the need to put to rest any doubt about the support enjoyed by the state Executive Council of our great party, led by Prophet Jones Erue.” He reiterated their confidence “in the leadership of Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, Prophet Jones Erue and the entire Delta State Executive Council of the party.
He warned against any form of over ambition and importation of the distasteful behaviour and disposition which some of the defectors might have imbibed in the party from which they have defected.
The Warri South APC Chairman tasked new entrants into the party’s fold “to return to their respective units and wards for proper recognition and orientation to avoid negative consequences.”
